(CA48: 8949a) [The fate of Ca ethylene-diamine-2-C14-tetraacetate (I) dild. 1/100 with unlabeled material (after Murray and Ronzio, C.A. 47, 6873a) was investigated after intravenous, intramuscular, and oral administration in humans. I was identified either chemically or by chromatograms (R/ 0.8). I passed through the body unchanged; 24 hrs. after parenteral administration all of the dose could be accounted for in the urine (98.1 ± 4.6% after intravenous, 98.8 ± 1.6% after intramuscular). At 48-72 hrs. after oral ingestion 91 ± 2.0% appeared in the feces, and 4.2 ± 2.0% in the urine. I was excreted by the kidney by both glomerular filtration and tubular excretion. It mixed with all body water, but did not pass into the red cells. There was no skin absorption.]
