- Assumed full-time Directorship of hair mineral analysis laboratory during a rapid growth phase with offices located in Europe, Japan, and U.S.
- Trained physicians in proper use of nutritional analyses, amino acid testing and trace mineral analyses on blood, urine and hair, and recommended appropriate therapy for their patients.
- Sold laboratory business to Doctor's Data in January, 1985 and physician's nutritional supply to Advanced Medical Nutrition, incorporated in July, 1985.
- Assumed Directorship of company specializing in computerized diet analysis and interpretation of nutritional laboratory tests for medical physicians around the world.
MEDICAL PRACTICE
Private General Practice, Sacramento, CA 1966 - 1976/1985 - 1991
- Emphasis on preventative medicine, specializing in nutritional programs to optimize health and/or treat existing disease based on extensive laboratory analysis including amino acid analysis, computerized diet analysis, hair mineral analysis, etc.
- Actively developed chelation therapy as an internationally recognized and utilized therapy for occlusive vascular disease. This practice required the utilization and extensive knowledge of non-invasive vascular testing in monitoring the success of the total therapeutic program including computerized treadmill, thermography, Doppler, and plethysmography.
- The main practice location for most of the years in the Sacramento area was 2811 "L" Street. This practice became the largest preventative medical practice in Northern California (utilizing in excess of 10,000 sq. ft. of total space) and eventually employing five additional physicians. This practice included complete x-ray and lab departments and a special nutrition supplement dispensing department for the patients of the practice. This practice grew to employ over 36 full-time medical assistants, secretaries and other personnel. During this time, Dr. Gordon was a staff member of Mercy General, Mercy San Juan Hospitals, and Sutter Community Hospitals as well as Arcade Hospital and Community Medical Center of North Sacramento.
- Sold practice in 1976 to Dr. Howard Greenspan, who operated practice as the Sacramento Preventative and Holistic Medical Group. Dr. Gordon functioned as consultant until he again took over as Director-Owner of the practice in December, 1985.
- Resumed active full-time private practice from December, 1985 - May, 1991 doing business as Garry F. Gordon, M.D. Medical Corporation, d/b/a Preventive Medical Clinic. The practice by that time had been relocated to 1816 Tribute Road, but it outgrew that physical location and was relocated to 3325 Myrtle Avenue, North Highland, California to a 17,000 sq. ft. facility, with 60 employees and a $10,000/day overhead until it was closed as a result of landlord dispute regarding landlord's failure to meet minimum leasehold improvement standards.
